DD Companionship - Shop Home

The Companionship programme has been introduced by Developing Doulas as a way of supporting the growth of new doulas, and continuing to support more experienced ones as they support the families they work with and build a doula community together.

It may be used alongside the Doula UK mentorship scheme or by itself for those who choose not to be Doula UK members.

Doulas are expected to access some kind of support for their first few births, before being Acknowledged as a safe and effective doula who is active in the wider birth community. Companionship is provided via a Primary Companion, but doulas are also encouraged to seek out one-off Companionship sessions with other doulas or one of the DD Patrons if they are in need of specific support.

You can access Caz's DD Companion profile here.
